Hue Imperial Citadel

Hue Imperial Citadel was constructed by the Nguyen King from 1802 to 1831. It used to be the place for the King to live and work just like Forbidden Purple Citadel.  After over hundred years and two severe wars, the citadel still remains some typical sites such as Noon Gate, Great Harmony Palace, Thai Binh Pavilion, Queen Mother Palace, The Mieu, Hien Lam Cac and nice Dynasty Urns. The Imperial Citadel can be perfect place for some historical or ancient architecture photograph.

The Nguyen King Tombs

They are unique constructions that just only can be found in Hue. The tombs of Nguyen Kings in Hue are just like the Pyramids for Egyptian Kings, that all have been constructed when the Kings were alive. After being constructed, the Tomb was just like the weekend palace for the King, that he could go there and enjoy his stay with his Queen and concubines. So they all invested so much money and time to make the scenery of the tomb to be romantic and beautiful. After the Kings passed away, the tomb just turned to be the burial and worshiping place. Thien Mu Pagoda is belonging to the list of one of the best ten pagodas in Vietnam. Located in perfect location on Ha Khe Hill by Perfume River. The Phuoc Duyen Tower in the pagoda now is the symbol of Hue City.
