From 19 to 23 November 2013, Ha Giang People’s Committee will organize the Cultural Heritage Tourism Week 2013 of ethnic minorities. This event will take place in several districts around Ha Giang province, from Quang Binh District to Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Meo Vac and Dong Van.
This is an activity to honor the value of the intangible cultural heritage of Ha Giang which has been listed as national intangible cultural heritage and cultural heritage of ethnic traditions. This activity also contributes to increase confidence, pride and determination to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage intangible in Ha Giang province, as well as to propagate, introduce and promote unique cultural identity in the life and activities of ethnic art.
In the framework of Cultural Heritage Tourism Week 2013 of ethnic minorities in Ha Giang, many activities will take place such as: visiting the Cultural Community Tourism Village of Nam Dam Hamlet; cap sac rite of Dao ethnic group in Nam Dam hamlet, Quan Ba commune, Quan Ba district; participating in weaving flax with Mong people in Lung Tam commune; Gau Tao festival of Mong ethnic minority in Yen Minh town; sightseeing, experiencing and exploring Na Luong Cave in Mau Long commune; re-enacting of New Year ceremony (Drum dance festival) of Giay ethnic group and folk art exchange programs among ethnic groups…

Joining in this event, visitors will have opportunity to explore diversified and unique natural, geological, cultural values of Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geological Park such as: Quan Ba Twin Mountains, Ma Pi Leng Pass, Lung Cu Flag Tower, Vuong Family’s Palace, Dong Van Old Quarter. The opening ceremony of Cultural Heritage Tourism Week of ethnic groups in Ha Giang Province 2013 will be held at 20:00pm on 19th November 2013 at Quang Binh District’s Stadium. Previously, also on 19th November, visitors will enjoy many impressive art programs; participate in special folk games and festivals; and experience the fire dancing festival with Pa Then ethnic people in Tan Bac Commune, Quang Binh District.
