On the occasion of holiday April 30 and May 1, Dong Xuan Joint Stock Company officially launches 02 tour of Hanoi Old Quarter (also known as the “French Quarter”) by electric vehicles, serving the needs of domestic and foreign tourists.
Two tours will help visitors to discover, learn cultural, history and architecture value associated with the development of Thang Long – Hanoi.
Outstanding value of the old streets is the French architecture with buildings built in the late 19th century – early 20th century, which have been preserved and promoted their value until today. For example: Hanoi Railway Station, Hanoi Opera House, the Xao Auction (now it is the Cultural Friendship Palace in Hanoi), Hanoi Medical University, Government Guest House… Next is the historical and cultural vestige such asHoanKiemLake, Quan Su Pagoda, Hoa Lo Prison…
Route 1 is about 6 km long. It takes 40 minutes for traveling with 7 stops, pick-off, starting from the tram stop in Dinh Tien Hoang street – Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square – Hang Gai – Hang Bong – Cua Nam – Le Duan – Tran Hung Dao – Quan Su – Ly Thuong Kiet – Le Thanh Tong – Tong Dan – Tan Co – Trang Tien – Dinh Tien Hoang.
Route 2 is about 7 km long, 45 minutes with 8 stops, pick-off, starting from the tram stop in Dinh Tien Hoang – Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square – Le Thai To – Ba Trieu – Tran Hung Dao – Quan Su – Hai Ba Trung – Hoa Lo – Ly Thuong Kiet – Le Thanh Tong – Tong Dan – Trang Tien – Tan Co – Ly Thai To – Le Thach – Dinh Tien Hoang.
Ticket prices for both routes are 20,000 dong / person / trip. Operating time is from 7:00 to 23:00 daily.
To prepare for two new tours, Dong Xuan Joint Stock Company has bought 10 electric vehicles which use solar battery to direct visitors and residents to the type of green tourism. The driver is trained in communication skill, language using and guiding the visitors when necessary.
