14h00: our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer to Du Du charmingly lies in a tranquil village, belonging to Thanh Oai District, 30 km from the capital of Hanoi. The village has preserved the essence of the traditional wooden sculpture over many generations.
With their skillful hands, the craftsmen in the village have created unique sculptures including products for decoration, furniture and wooden statues.
According to the artisan – Nguyen Duy Sinh, the origin of the craft has been still unknown. The village’s descendants claimed that sculptural products of the village had been in temples for 500 years ago.
Come over the Du Du wooden sculpture village, visitors can learn how about making statue process from raw material to finished products and buy some favorite items.
