Nestled within the enchanting Sunset Town, witnessed the grand inauguration of the Kiss Bridge Phu Quoc Island by Sun Group on December 22, poised to emerge as an iconic symbol in the vibrant tapestry of Phu Quoc’s tourism landscape.
A Symphony of Structure and Sunset: Phu Quoc Welcomes Visitors to the Mesmerizing Kiss Bridge
Architected by the talented Italian designer Marco Casamonti, the Kiss Bridge Phu Quoc Island draws inspiration from Michelangelo’s masterpiece, “The Creation of Adam,” and the mythical O Thuoc bridge in the tale of Ong Ngau and Ba Ngau. Stretching gracefully across Sunset Bay, the Kissing Bridge comprises two branches, North and South, forming a seamless 800-meter union, delicately suspended 30 cm apart—an intentional design fostering moments of embrace, handshakes, or kisses. Calculated with precision, this distance ensures that every January 1, the sunset gracefully aligns between the two bridge tips, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
With a conson span of up to 25 meters and inclined pillars at 65 degrees, the Kiss Bridge stands as the first sea walking bridge in Vietnam, boasting a total conson structure weight of 400 tons. Sun Group envisions this architectural marvel as a symbol of tourism excellence, poised to captivate both domestic and international tourists alike.
The innovative use of clear glass, with an exceptional 96% transparency, lends an ethereal quality to the Kiss Bridge on Phu Quoc Island, allowing visitors to experience a sense of “invisibility” within its structure. Adding to the allure is the LED Dynamics lighting system, casting soft and fluid lighting effects reminiscent of flickering flames.
Kiss Bridge Phu Quoc Unveiled for Enchanting Experiences
Mr. Huynh Quang Hung, Chairman of Phu Quoc City People’s Committee, expressed the city’s pride in the Kiss Bridge, deeming it a symbol of artistic finesse and construction prowess. “We hope that Cau Kiss will bring Phu Quoc to the world and become a reason for tourists to long to come to Pearl Island and admire the unique architectural work with their own eyes, just like the Golden Bridge did for Vietnam,” shared Mr. Hung.
Timed perfectly for the year-end festival season, the Kiss Bridge Phu Quoc Island is part of a larger ensemble within Sunset Bay orchestrated by Sun Group. This includes the mesmerizing multimedia technology show stage system, “Kiss of the Sea,” featuring a nightly 7-minute fireworks display launched on December 21.
Together with the Kiss Bridge Phu Quoc, the Vui-Fest beach night market (VUI-Fest Bazaar) and the La Festa Phu Quoc – Curio Collection by Hilton hotel, in the new year 2024 Sun Group envisions transforming Phu Quoc into a dynamic four-season destination, teeming with life and excitement.
